with Gumtree Golf & Nature Club

A four-part mini series that’s equal parts nature doc, golf journey, and introspection. From the tip of Tasmania to Royal Queensland exploring the themes of patience, balance, perspective, and connection showcasing some of Australia’s unique and wonderful flora & fauna
Ep 1 “Patience”
Hobart, TSM
Through small, subtle moments, we’re reminded that nature doesn’t rush — and yet everything gets done. And that golf, like nature, is built on the understanding that perfection is temporary and control is only borrowed.
Nothing lasting ever hurries.

Ep 2 “Balance”
Queenscliff, VIC
This one’s for everyone juggling two things they love.
Filmed on a 100-year-old public course on a private island off the coast of Queenscliff, Victoria — a place shared with an Australian Defence Force base, shipwrecks, wetlands, and over 20,000 waterbirds.
Between the inspiring chaos of New York City where I live and work — and the calming pull of nature, family, and the place that shaped me.
Maybe balance isn’t standing still… but learning how to move between worlds. Ambition and ease. The one that inspires you, and the one that reminds you who you are.

Ep 3 “Perspective“
Sydney, NSW
Perspective is everything. Seeing the same 18 holes of golf through a different lens & frame of mind is what we’ve built Gumtree Golf & Nature Club on from day one. It shapes what you see, how you play and how you feel about yourself during and after the round.
This episode really puts that theory to the test - when you travel across the world to shoot a specific course with a specific concept in mind and it all falls through at the last minute, can you still see the beauty in the moment?

Ep 4 “Connection”
Brisbane, QLD
Golf is often described as a solitary game.
One person. One ball. One scorecard.
But, spend enough time walking a course and you realize how untrue that is. Every step connects you to something.
To the people you’re playing with.
To the land beneath your feet.
To the quiet ecosystems that share the fairways.
The final chapter of The Long Road to Brisbane finds us arriving in Brisbane at the end of of journey up Australia’s East Coast during jacaranda season. A few brief weeks where the city turns purple and every tree becomes its own small ecosystem.
At this moment, those connections feel impossible to ignore.
Episode 4 of The Long Road to Brisbane explores these subtle relationships that exist all around a golf course, and the ones we carry home with us.
