Collin is an image maker working across avariety of visual tools — drawn to intimacy, the unscripted moment, and what it means to belong somewhere, to someone, to a stretch of time. A background in architecture and the open plains of the Midwest shaped an eye for light, volume, and space, a sensibility carried into commercial work for major technology and consumer brands alongside personal and editorial projects built on return.

That work has placed Collin's practice at an uneasy edge: photographing for and alongside the technologies — including tools built on artificial intelligence — that are actively redefining what an image is, who makes it, and what it's worth. Rather than resolve that tension, Collin has chosen to sit inside it, blending traditional and contemporary approaches with a fresh perspective.

The result is a practice that takes neither side for granted: one committed to the idea that images made slowly, with scarcity and consequence, still mean something in a moment flooded with images that cost nothing to make.

“He's a master of many styles and idioms, from “pictorialism" to "documentary", including abstraction, portraits, fashion, industrial forms, and expressionist studies of melancholy and absence.”

-Benita Eisler, Art Historian
